Community Service and CSR (2013 - present)

  • Narayana Seva

I have actively participated in community service organized with the help of Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Karnataka, from 2013 to serve food to the underprivileged and the needy. Every year, I have proactively taken up different roles such as planning, managing logistics, on-floor management, helping acquire groceries for cooking, and packing and distributing. It has helped develop my managerial skills and has shaped me into someone who can work well in a team. One of the key takeaways from this experience has been how to deal with differences in opinion in a very respectful way without hurting the sentiment of others. From 2013, we have helped serve over 1.4 million underprivileged people either by serving cooked food or by distributing groceries throughout the state of Karnataka, India.

  • Vidya Vahini Project

I participated in the Phone Your Friend project under the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Project from June 2021. The main objective of the project is to teach teachers from rural parts of India the English language. This ensures that teachers in turn are capable of teaching the language to students, enabling the students to blend in and communicate better when they migrate to cities either to pursue higher education or to look for employment.
